Job Description
We are seeking a skilled PHP Developer with 2–5 years of experience in the VAS (Value-Added Services) domain. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with telecom integrations, subscription-based services, and content delivery platforms. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing backend systems that power SMS, IVR, USSD, and other mobile services. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable PHP-based backend systems for VAS platforms. Integrate with telecom operator APIs for subscription, billing, and content delivery. Develop and manage WAP portals, CRBT, and IVR service backend modules. Write clean, well-documented code following best practices. Create and manage cron jobs for subscription lifecycle and daily processes. Implement MIS and analytics reports to monitor service usage and performance. Troubleshoot issues related to performance, scalability, and reliability in production. Collaborate with telecom partners, QA teams, and project managers to ensure seamless service delivery. Required Skills and Experience: 2–5 years of PHP development experience (Core PHP OOP). Experience with Laravel or CodeIgniter . Strong in MySQL and database design/optimization. Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs , JSON, and XML. Good knowledge of Linux environments , cron jobs , and basic shell scripting. Understanding of telecom VAS services : SMS, USSD, IVR, WAP, DCB. Experience in generating logs, managing traffic data, and handling telecom service callbacks. Experience working with SMS gateways, billing APIs, and mobile operator provisioning. ➕ Preferred/Bonus Skills: Knowledge of SMPP , Shortcode provisioning , or USSD Gateway integration . Familiarity with queue systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Redis). Exposure to DND compliance , audit trails, and subscriber consent flows. Basic front-end knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Telecom/VAS domain certifications (if any) are an advantage. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Excellent communication skills and team collaboration. Ability to work under pressure and handle production-critical issues. Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn telecom-specific protocols and flows.
