About Us
We are a purpose-driven nonprofit dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) across communities, workplaces, and institutions. We believe that inclusive design isn’t just good design—it’s essential. We’re looking for a UI/UX Design Intern who shares our values and can help visually bring our mission to life across platforms.

Why This Role Matters
Our programs impact real lives—and we need a design presence that reflects the empathy, inclusiveness, and energy of our work. As our UI/UX intern, you’ll shape how people experience our message, interact with our tools, and feel seen, heard, and included.

What You’ll Do
Design intuitive, inclusive, and accessible interfaces for our website, landing pages, and digital campaigns
Create visually compelling layouts, icons, and illustrations that reflect DEIB principles
Collaborate with content, program, and outreach teams to turn ideas into user-centered designs
Conduct user research or interpret feedback to iterate and refine design solutions
Help maintain a cohesive design system and brand identity across touchpoints
Explore ways to represent diverse identities, experiences, and stories in UI elements

What We’re Looking For
Passion for design that reflects empathy, inclusion, and impact
Familiarity with design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Canva, or Sketch
Strong visual storytelling and layout skills
Understanding of basic UX principles—usability, accessibility (WCAG), responsiveness
A portfolio (can include personal or student projects) showing thoughtful, aesthetic designs
Bonus: experience with designing for non-profits or mission-driven organizations

What You’ll Gain
A chance to design for impact—your work will touch real lives
Exposure to mission-first design principles and DEIB-led narratives
Mentorship and feedback from experienced design and communications professionals
Flexible work hours and a collaborative, inclusive remote team culture
Letter of recommendation + LinkedIn endorsement + public credit for your work
Possibility of continued involvement or PPO based on performance and interest

To Apply:
Send your resume, portfolio (or Dribbble/Behance link), and a cover letter on why inclusive design matters to you.
